If you are new to buying and selling vehicle or simply someone who likes to keep their vehicle looking nice. I put together a list of my top 5 buffers that would do the job for you. I personally own 3 for the 5 top choices and the other two I’ve used in the past and plan on buying in the near future. You will find many sites giving their viewpoint on buffers utilized by professional which is fine, but most of their recommendations will cost you $125 or more for what they claim are the best. Others will simply put a generic list together simply to get you to buy a buffer they actually haven’t even purchased themselves.

I wanted to take the time and give you a different spin on car buffer choices and focus on those that are affordable but also have good quality. My recommendations will cost you no more the $75 which is much more reasonable then the higher price buffers available on the market today and you don’t have to worry about spending hundreds of dollars to buy one of my choices. By profession I’m an auto broker who buys and sells multiple vehicles each month. The majority of my inventory are cash cars I acquired from various dealer auctions.

How I save money is being able to do most of my own jobs when it comes to repairs and care detailing. I utilize a good amount of car cleaning products and car buffers are the backbone to my show room shine finish.

Benefits Of Using A Car Buffer

The main benefit about an electric buffer is the time and energy saved when waxing and polishing a vehicle. When you are attempting to manually wax your vehicle depending on the size it can be a chore to complete the job especially in weather that is undesirable when it’s extremely hot outside. You should utilize a car buffer if you are trying to remove light or deep scratches with a compound agent. When you are using these waxes the buffer will also ensure that you get an even coat across the body of the vehicle. Also when you interchange buffer pads after the wax compound has been wiped away you will also get that desired glossy shiny look with a polishing pad that seals in the wax and keeps the paint protected over a longer period of time.

So, What’s The Best Affordable Car Buffer’s For 2016?

1st Recommendation: (Carrand 94001AS AutoSpa 10" Orbital)

My top rated pick

Number one on my list and the item I use most often for detailing my inventory is the Carrand Autospa 10-inch Orbital buffer. If you are looking for a buffer to get the best bang for your money this is the unit to buy. This buffer has a heavy duty 3500 rpm 120v motor that will give you that professional look. What I like most about this buffer is the applying of the actual wax on my vehicles so it gives the body an even coat. Most individual use the traditional rag to apply the wax but I prefer to move faster since I’m usually detailing two vehicles at one time. The form bonnet that is attached to this buffer does the job perfectly. Once it’s applied I use one of the microfiber bonnets to remove the wax, then put on another bonnet to give my inventory that showroom shine.

When you buy this buffer it should come with the foam wax, polish applicator pad, and microfiber buffer pad. As I stated earlier this buffer is one of the three on this list that I utilize often and I know you will enjoying utilizing the unit if you decide to buy the item.

2nd Recommendation: (WEN 10PMC 10-Inch Waxer/Polisher)

Excellent Runner UP

This buffer I happened to pick up on the road when I was doing an auction to auction deal in another state and I forgot to bring my Carrand unit. I stumbled across an EBay store in FL and asked the sales agent if they could recommend a buffers with similar features as the Carrand. That is when I was introduced to the WEN buffer. I’m glad I took his advice and now I make this my road warrior every time I plan on doing some traveling to various auctions selling some of my inventory during public sales.

This product is very similar in specification to my top choice, it also has a 120v motor but the rpm are a little less at 3200. The price is very affordable and it doesn’t’ take away from the overall performance. The buffer comes with a carry case, two polishing bonnets, and two application bonnets.

3rd Recommendation: (Neiko 10671A 7-Inch Polisher and Buffer)

When it’s time for me to do some serious detailing I grab my third recommend buffer. The Neiko 7 Inch Polisher and Buffer. This buffer is my work horse when I’m detailing larger SUV’s or 4x4 Trucks. The main reason why I wanted to get my hands on this buffer was mainly due to the various speed changes. When I details minivan’s and suv’s models many of these vehicles have hood racks and odd configured accessories on the body so I needed something with adjusting speeds to carefully buff areas without damaging the parts. The price for this buffer is very affordable for the capabilities this item can accomplish. If you are looking at the higher end professional buffers but think the price is too high this buffer would be a good substitute.

The speed setting ranges between 1000 to 3000 RPM, with a 1300V motor. Easy to hold handle and a Velcro backing disc so you can easily adapt multiple polishing pads. This buffer is heavier than my other 4 choices so it takes a little getting used to if you’re accustom to handling smaller buffers. Also the pad size accessories such as the bonnet are harder to locate at your traditional stores such as Walmart or AutoZone so I would recommend if you decide to purchase this buffer buy the extra accessories at the same time.

4th recommendation (Ryobi P430G 18-Volt ONE Plus Green Buffer)

This buffer isn’t something I purchased yet but it is on my to do list reason being my road dog WEN buffer has been abused, dropped, and borrowed by friends and neighbors. It’s finally on its last leg and I’m looking for a new replacement which brings me to this item. One of my business colleagues who also is an auto broker actually has this buffer. What stood out from the beginning was this buffer was actually cordless.

My colleague and I were at an auction and just before he was about to bring two of his vehicles into the sale he was out in the parking lot doing a quick detail job. From a distance I thought I was seeing thing then when I walked up on what he was doing I was impressed how this cordless buffer was just as good as my WEN buffer. In addition it was just much more convenient because when I utilize my buffer on the road I need to carry my small generator to get power for my device or find an outlet to do the job. With the Ryobi all you need is a fully charged battery. No cords, no outlets needed.

The battery and charger are sold separately so that’s something to keep in mind before you purchase this item. The speed is set at 4000 rpm with a single handle for extra reach. After my colleague used his buffer you know I had to take a quick try on one of my vehicles and I must admit I was very impressed. So the Ryobi One Plus made number 4 on my list but I can see it sneaking up to number 2 once I get a chance to buy this item myself.

5th Recommendation: (Kawasaki 840580 10-Inch Ergonomic Orbital Waxer)

Rounding out my top 5 is a buffer that my next door neighbor has after he got tired of always asking to borrow mines. He picked up the Kawasaki 10-inch orbital waxer. I will admit at first I was judgmental of this model because when I think about Kawasaki the first thing that comes to mind is the motorcycle brand. So when my neighbor purchased this item I happened to be outside cleaning some new inventory before I planned on adverting online. I look next to me and surprisingly I see my neighbor cleaning his Chevy Impala. My curiosity took over and I walked over to see what he was doing and that’s when I discovered he actually had a Kawasaki buffer.

He told me that was is fourth time using the product and he was having really good results which I could see for myself while he was detailing his vehicle. I felt it was time to do a role reversal and I asked if I could actually borrow his buffer to get feel how the product handled. Just like with the Ryobi model the Kawasaki surprisingly impressed me. I actually used it to detail a Ford Taurus I was ready to sale, once I was done buffing the vehicle it looked just as good as the results I get from my Carrand buffer.

So there you have it. My top 5 car buffer selections. I hope this list helps you in making a decision on your next purchase. If you have any questions are comment please feel free to leave them below.
